Sonja Radan

Sonja Radan was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1984. After the war, she settled in London, where she continues to live and explore various artistic mediums. She is a member of the Brent Artists Resource in London as well as the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ULUPBiH). For many years, she worked as an art therapist in both the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2008, she was selected to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina among 42 countries at the major exhibition "Mediterraneo" at the Italian Cultural Institute in London. Her work was featured in 2016 in the "Svjetionik" (Lighthouse), an anthology and monograph of Bosnian-Herzegovinian artists living abroad. Sonja's series of sculpture/paintings titled "The Memory of Wood" was selected and exhibited in 2018 at the Saatchi Gallery in London. She was recently chosen as a leading artist in the Global Eye Programme, presented by START.art.
