Damjan Kovačević was born in 1983. in Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. He exhibited in France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. His works (2013) are included in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. More important awards he received for his work include the first prize of the Niš Art Foundation (2015), the first prize for drawing of the Vladimir Veličković Foundation (2010), a residency in Dusseldorf, Germany, and the Kulturraum Foundation (2009). He also resided in France, Paris and Belgium, Lanaken. Kovačević lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.
